1000 schools are now connected to N4L’s Managed Network, well ahead of the initial 700 set as a target for 2014.  That means an awesome 319,000+ users are now able to access fast, reliable internet with uncapped data at school to enhance their learning and ensure that an internet connection isn’t the thing that lets them down in a lesson.

After connecting schools up and down the country, lucky number 1000 is Stanley Avenue Primary in Te Aroha. Stanley Avenue Primary is excited about being on the Managed Network  because it will mean their rural location is less isolating as they connect with a world of resources available online.  This network will mean more opportunities to develop digital initiatives the schools has already embarked upon, like their radio and TV productions, as well as provide more diverse opportunities for both teachers and students alike.

Our CEO, John Hanna, says “We understand a teacher’s need for technology to work smoothly and reliably all the time, once a school is connected their internet use generally increases exponentially. Students are using the internet to collaborate more online and to invent their own amazing creations. All of this activity will better prepare them for the future, and it is very rewarding to see this happening throughout the country.”

We’re in a lucky position to hear some of the amazing stories of how schools and innovative teachers are using their Managed Network connections and the difference its making in their classrooms.

If you’ve got a great story to tell about the difference the Managed Network has made to your school or classroom get in touch with your client manager, we would love to hear about it!
