Learning beyond the school gate

Icon representing akonga for digital inclusion

N4L has been piloting ways for ākonga to learn from home, with their whānau.

Around 145,000 students in Aotearoa are living without home internet access. N4L is working alongside the Ministry of Education, other government agencies, technology companies and community organisations to find solutions to digital inclusion.

We’ve trialled different ways to provide safe (filtered) connectivity beyond the school gate, and the learnings from these pilots have been used to inform potential models for the future.

More information on digital inclusion is available here.

Hear from Te Akau ki Pāpāmoa School and Rata Street School as they talk about what these digital inclusion pilots meant for their school communities.
