N4L is delighted to now include NetSafe as one of our partners working with us to support the effective use of digital technologies within the education sector.

NetSafe works with schools and the wider community to promote confident, safe and responsible use of online technologies, which is what we’re all about with both the Managed Network and Pond.

As a result of this partnership, we have just introduced a feature in Pond where users are able to report any inappropriate or unlawful online content, communication or behaviour directly to NetSafe. You can use this reporting function to report any online incident that impacts student safety or the online learning environment, not just what happens in Pond.

A link to the report form is available on the Pond homepage, under the search bar.  Reports are encrypted and sent directly to NetSafe. Only NetSafe can can open the reports, no one else.

NetSafe will then provide direct advice and guidance designed to resolve the issues reported to them, working in association with a range of digital technology industry and government partners they work directly with.

There is so much critical work being done by organisations such as NetSafe and we are proud to support them wherever we can.
