Connected Educator Month has an awesome array of activities designed to get educators connected – not just to technology but also to each other. Focusing on technology that not only helps you in the classroom but also professionally, to grow a network of like-minded educators.  This is why we think Pond is perfect for a day of Connected Educator Month.

Since today is our day in the starter kete, we thought we’d run through why we think Pond is capable of connecting educators.

  • You choose your own community based on your interests or classroom environment.
  • You can easily find other educators who are teaching the same topics as you, allowing you to share resources easily.  No more reinventing the wheel, no more stress about “what am I going to teach?”
  • You can collate and collect resources together to be stored in the cloud for a single lesson or a sequence of lessons.
  • Adding Learning Ideas to resources helps inspire other teachers about how they could use a resource – who doesn’t like inspiration?

These are just a few of the ways we think Pond helps educators connect.

Pond is based around the values, “discover, share, grow” and if you’re taking part in the Connected Educator Month and Pond day, hopefully you’ll get to see some of the capabilities of Pond.

As well as Pond day today, yesterday the NZ Transport Agency had a series of events and in one, they discussed how to find their resources in Pond.  Further showing how you can connect with providers in Pond.

Get connected, get in Pond.  It’s now open for every educator with an Education Sector Login, as long as you have Pond entitlements.  If you have an e-asTTle login, this will automatically give you access.  Have a look at what else is being covered this Connected Educator Month here .

Stop sitting on the edges, jump into the deep end of Pond.
