Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Wellington and find myself still here, now raising my kids.
What brings you joy outside of work?
Outside of work I love spending time with my children, walking my dogs, practicing and teaching yoga, and foraging for mushrooms.
How did you end up working in this role?
I come from a teaching background and have spent time in e-learning. I’ve always had an interest in education and this role allows me to continue empowering teaching and learning.
What appealed to you about the role?
There is so much variety being a School Relationship Manager, no two days are the same. I get to visit schools in some beautiful parts of the country and the people that work in schools are so hardworking. It’s great I can help them navigate the tech landscape.
Tell us about your role.
My role is all about connection – building strong relationships with schools and being there when schools need help or information. A big part of what I do is translating tech talk into plain language so schools feel confident being online and informed about upgrades and best practices.
What feeds your passion within your role?
Making things simple and stress free for schools is an important part of the job for me. Knowing that I’m someone schools can rely on for support and information makes my work meaningful.
What does it mean for you personally in the work N4L delivers?
I feel privileged to support schools in creating safer and connected learning environments. I enjoy being someone that can take the pressure off by taking something technical and making it easy for schools to understand and I get to do it by working with a great team at N4L.
Tell us about a highlight or stand out story in your role as a School Relationship Manager.
With every day bringing different stories and experiences, I don’t have a single story but the most rewarding times are when we can help schools that have been struggling with connectivity for a long time, introducing them to innovative solutions such as Starlink.
What do you hope to achieve in the future of schools and kura?
I want schools and the people in them to feel supported and served by technology and not the other way around!
