Our very own Carolyn Stuart will be leading these workshops, guiding small groups of educators through Pond and its possibilities. These are hands on, interactive sessions where participants will explore Pond’s potential with its deep search function in addition to collating, sharing and reviewing resources. All sessions are BYOD (at the moment Pond is better optimised for laptops and desktop computers so we ask that you bring a laptop along rather than a mobile device to get the most out of the session).

One important thing to remember is that you need an Education Sector Logon (sometimes known as an e-asTTle login) to register for and access Pond. Your Education Sector Logon must have a relationship to your school. This is our way of verifying and authenticating users within Pond, ensuring it’s a safe environment for all.

Below is a list of the workshops we’ll be offering Pioneer access codes at.

Learning @ Schools Roadshows

We’ll be at all 4 L@S roadshows this year:

  • Gisborne – 13 May
  • Palmerston North – 15 May
  • Ashburton – 20 May
  • Dunedin – 22 May

You’ll need to register for the breakout sessions in advance (as part of the event registration process). For dates and times, and registration details, visit the L@S website.

Interface Xpos

There’s 3 Interface Xpo events this year:

  • Wellington – 22 May
  • Taupo – 26 May
  • Auckland – 28 May

You’ll need to register for the workshops in advance (as part of the event registration process). For dates and times, and registration details, visit the InterfaceXpo website.

Northpower Fibre

For those of you attending the workshops N4L is running in partnership with Northpower Fibre in Whangarei on 6th May, good news – you’ll be getting an access code to become a Pond Pioneer too! Please remember to have your Education Sector Logon ready and a fully charged laptop to ensure you get the most out of the workshop.

We’re also looking at hosting a series of online sessions in May. If you want to get an access code but can’t attend a workshop in one of the locations listed, keeping paying attention for more information about how you can get a code via a digital workshop.

Key information you need to know about getting an invite to Pond via a workshop:
  • Pre-register where necessary
  • Have your Education Sector Logon (e-asTTle) ready before the workshop
  • Bring your laptop
  • Get excited seeing the potential of Pond and becoming a Pond Pioneer!
