You may have seen a little box (about the size of a deck of cards) hanging out in your server cabinet with a cheeky little Raspberry icon on top – if you’re wondering what this – it’s your school’s Raspberry Pi.

Mmmmm Raspberry Pi – that sounds good – what does it do?
The Raspberry Pi acts as a mini computer on your school’s network – it allows N4L to quickly identify and resolve most issues on your N4L internet connection helping to avoid a pie in the face moment further down the road (insert canned laughter here).  It also allows our team to replicate your browsing experience and carry out important checks without disrupting your school day.

It looks like this…

And… not like this

What doesn’t it do? We’re glad you asked!
It doesn’t gather identifiable individual information – it’s only used to monitor and maintain the quality of your school’s internet connection.

That’s cool – but how do I know if my pi is working?
If the lights are on it means your pi’s at home. If not, give us a ring on 0800 LEARNING and we can help to troubleshoot the troubleshooter.
