HP has recently published security advisories for three critical-severity vulnerabilities affecting hundreds of HP printer models. A full list of affected products can be found on the HP website – under Affected Products.

These three vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to run malicious code on a school printer, otherwise known as Remote Code Execution (RCE).

HP has released security updates for most of the affected products, and we highly recommend that you apply the applicable update immediately. If your affected printer does not have a security update, HP recommends that you disable Link-Local Multicast Name Resolution (LLMNR). Steps to disable LLMNR on your affected printer can be found on the HP website – under Resolution.
