Update 2 July 7.10am: Work was carried out overnight and connectivity has been restored to the schools affected.
Update 5.10pm: The ETR has been revised to 8pm and Technicians continuing to work.
Update 2pm: Civil contractors are onsite, and preparing to dig new fibre access trenches across an impacted road. Traffic management is expected onsite soon, and drilling can then begin. Once these trenches are complete, new fibre can be laid. Current ETR remains 19:00 this evening.
Update 1 July 8.30am: The outage has been identified as a fibre cable cut. Technicians are en route to continue with work throughout today.
Update 5pm: We have identified that the issue is between Kerikeri and Ahipara. Engineers are en route to carry out repairs.
Original Update: We are aware of an outage in the upper North Island area impacting some schools. The team are currently investigating and we will continue to provide updates here.
