We’re aware of a critical vulnerability with certain Hikvision products. Hikvision is a brand of CCTV cameras that are commonly used in New Zealand schools and kura.
This vulnerability could allow attackers to take full control of the vulnerable device to steal information or install malware.
Recommendation
Please see the Hikvision security advisory for the list of affected products. To reduce the risk of being targeted, we recommend downloading the latest firmware version on affected Hikvision devices as soon as possible.
