Pond is always improving and the new Personal Homepage is a great way to keep track of all your Pond activity.

We’ve been listening to your feedback and some of the most common requests include more personal space that pulls Pond things together, easier access to Buckets and Groups, and a way to make Ripples a more useful activity stream.

The first thing we’ve done to start addressing these requests is introduce the Personal Homepage.  – one place to see what’s going on, and join in. Now, when you sign in to Pond you’ll land on your Personal Homepage with quick access to activity, interests, and favourites, that you can personalise to meet your needs. Your Personal Homepage will include:

  • My Ripples: See the latest activity from people you follow. You can expand the content, give a Ka Pai, or even comment right there on your homepage.
  • My Interests (the tab just right of My Ripples): See the latest resources and people based on the interests on your profile and the tags you you’ve used. A quick way to see things you’re interested in without searching!
  • Ka Pai Items: Things you’ve given a Ka Pai to. Show them all, or just show the ones you want on your Homepage (such as a favourite Bucket you always use).
  • Groups: Your most recently active Groups, or just the Groups you want pinned to your Homepage.
  • My Buckets: Your most recently used Buckets, or just the ones you use most often. A great way to pin Buckets right where you need them.
  • My Fave Follows: The people you follow organised however you like.
  • Pond Community Features: The latest featured items, and Pondies worth following.

Your Personal Homepage makes it easier for you to find new resources, new people and create new knowledge with fellow educators. Which is what Pond is all about: being the best place to Discover, Share and Grow.

We’ve got a few tricks up our sleeves that we can’t wait to share so stay tuned. And keep sending your feedback – we’re always listening, and trying to make Pond better.
