10am Friday 29 January: We’re aware of vulnerabilities in Apple devices that could be targeted by attackers. Affecting the operating systems iOS, iPadOS and tvOS, the three significant weaknesses in the system could allow an attacker access to a person’s device without authorisation. All Apple devices should be updated immediately.

Take these steps to protect your device:

  1. Update your Apple iOS, iPadOS and tvOS devices to version 14.4 where the update is available (for most people, a pop-up should alert you that an update is available – select ‘Update Now’).
  2. If you don’t receive a pop-up message, follow these steps:

Settings > System > Software Update. From there, select “Update Software”.
