The work to repair the fault was carried out overnight and service has now been restored.

On investigation the issue is a suspected partial fibre cut between Awanui & Pukenui. Engineers are en route from Whangarei and we expect the work to be carried out this evening, conditions permitting.

We are aware of an outage impacting schools at the top of the North Island. Technicians are currently investigating and we will provide further information here.
